Menswear Jeans

Brighton/London/Paris

Currently been on galavanting away from Newcastle and I found some cool inspirational and statement street art and graffiti. I love its freedom and diversity.

Cool Hunting...

From a recent trip to London and Paris... I did some style scouting off the streets.

3D structure

Using paper manipulation, I created a pop out 3D structure that can be flat packed into a standard size envelope and that will strong enough to still be in tacked after postage.

Using paper manipulation, I created a structure that hung freely from a vertical surface using only 12 small drawing pins.

Leeds College of Art foundation

From my Art foundation I specialised in Fashion. Here are the two garments for my final major project. My inspiration was a structure of a wall, i looked at ways to express what lies between the inner and outer visibility as many different thickness and materials are used. Here I decided to develop that idea by hiding a concertina of different thicknesses, colour and fabric textures within the seams of a garment, meaning that the outer and inner walls are represented by the fabric and the lining and the others are closed off and shown through movement.

Istanbul

Summer 2010, started out with a visit to Istanbul. Spice markets, mosques, culture and cuisine. It came as a shock to me, I thought it was beautiful and enlightening, as I wasn't expecting a great response from my visit.
